In the Democratic primary for the deep-blue, Denver-based 1st District, democratic socialist Melat Kiros ousted liberal Rep. Diana DeGette. Statewide, Attorney General Phil Weiser defeated Sen. Mamdani goes 3-0 in NYC, Trump's 2nd choice wins in South Carolina
The biggest story on June 23 came in New York City, where all three congressional candidates endorsed by Mayor Zohran Mamdani won their Democratic primaries. Meanwhile, in South Carolina, Attorney General Alan Wilson beat Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette to win the Republican runoff for governor. Trump initially endorsed Evette, then co-endorsed Wilson.
